Warren G. comes from the west coast rapping community, tied with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre in his youth and influenced by N.W.A. and Ice-T. His music, however, is somewhat different from the other rappers', still street-smart and thuggish, but more mellow and mainstream. Warren G. is a less-gangsta rapper with more-than-average commercial success.
